How the Fire Fell is a dark, tragic, semi-silent study of the activities and atmosphere of a religious cult and it's effects upon the families involved. Inspired by true events that took place in Corvallis Oregon between 1903-1906, the film Chronicles the rise and fall of the Brides of Christ sect headed by Charismatic Preacher Edmund Creffield. The film utilizes a quiet 'fly on the wall' approach, maintaining a sense of mystery and wonder throughout.
